Do all Border Collies have blue eyes?

Not all Border Collies have blue eyes. Though some Border Collies have dramatic blue eyes, especially those carrying the Merle coat pattern, the eye color can vary significantly in the breed.

Here are some standard eye colors for Border Collies

Brown Eyes

Most Common: Brown is the most common color of Collie’s eye. Many dogs in the breed tend to have dark-brown eyes, which may add to the overall warm and expressive appearance.

Blue Eyes

Less Common: Blue eyes are often more frequently associated with the merle-coated Border Collies, although they also occur in other patterns. Blue eyes are outstanding and usually create much ado.

Different Colors

Some Border Collies have one blue eye and one brown eye. This is called heterochromia. This gives a dog a look and adds to its individuality.

Eye Shape and Expression

Expressive Features: Notwithstanding the color of the eye, the Border Collie has very expressive eyes; they mirror interests ranging from curiosity to bright intelligence.

Conclusion

A blue-eyed Border Collie is breathtakingly beautiful and eye-catching, but this characteristic in no way represents the norm of this breed. Most border collies have brown-colored eyes, while more variation remains within bi-eyed dogs. Every dog is unique, and the eye color aspect adds to this dog’s uniqueness.
