Breeding is a serious responsibility. Care, effort, and dedication are required for the proper development of each puppy dog. When you decide to purchase a Border Collie Puppy, you should take care of several things because every buyer is concerned about the puppy’s health.

First, research reputable breeders and visit their places. Make sure breeders are performing health screening tests for common health issues like hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and eye conditions.

Tell the breeder to provide health clearance documents for both the parent and puppy and clearance of genetic conditions in the breed. Before you bring the puppy home, make sure the breeder has given the puppy the proper vaccination.

Also, look at the environment in which your puppy is growing. Border Collies are active and energetic and need plenty of exercise. Try to make a regular exercise schedule to make them physically active and for their mental stimulation.

By taking these precautions, you will find a healthy puppy.

Border Collie Puppy Care

Give them proper dog food. Make a schedule of their food. Feed Your Border Collie Puppy high-quality puppy food. Give them 22-30% proteins and 8-20% fat. Try to feed them 3-4 times a day. Follow the guidelines given on the packing of food. Make Them Social: Try to introduce them to new people, pets, and environments at a young age. To make them obedient, try to teach them commands to obey the orders of their owner. Give them training exercises for a minimum of 30 minutes to an hour, and play games with them like puzzle toys and frisbee. 

To maintain the coat of your puppy, try to brush them multiple times per week and bath them every few months. Cut their nails every couple of weeks. Try to keep their ears clean and check them after a few times. Take care of their vaccination to prevent them from HPV.
